June 10th - 12th
Hello Oak Grove Parents/Guardians,
We had a great week at Oak Grove Middle School! Congratulations to our students of the month for April and May, they are as follows;
- Students of the month for April (picture to the left), Violetta Lazareva (8th), Emmaly Baez (6th), Alan Lopez (8th), Ivan Guevarra (6th), Jesse Arias (6th), Estefano Ramirez Melendez (7th), Jesus Manuel Duran Angulo (7th)
- Students of the month for May (picture to the right), Rubina Aazami (6th), Marisa Anaya Reyes (6th), Karla Castañeda (8th), Amir Macedo Cardoza (8th), Stephen Ramirez (6th) and Christian Garcia (7th).
We have three more days of school and students are very excited to start their summer vacation. Next week we will celebrate our 8th grade students' promotion. Invitations were sent home with students as well as their Cap and Gowns. The promotion will be at the Water Conservation Garden in Rancho San Diego at 5:00 p.m. The last day for 8th grade students is June 11th, and the last day for 6th and 7th grade students will be on June 12th. June 12 is a minimum day and dismissal is at 1:00 p.m.
Chromebooks and technology items are to be returned to school next week, please remind your students to bring them on the following dates;
- 8th grade students will turn in their technology items, (chromebooks, charges and cases) on Monday (6/10) during their PE class.
- 6th & 7th grade students will turn in their technology items on Tuesday (6/11) during their PE class as well.
For the safety of our students and our community neighbors, we ask that you drive up to the front of the school to pick up your student. Also, please make sure to follow all traffic signs, such as STOP signs and speed limits around our school. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.
Reminders;
- Very Important! Please enroll your student for the 24-25 school year. Log into the district website to enroll your student, https://www.jdusd.net/ then click the Enrollment tab or log on to your ParentVue account to complete the registration process. Make sure to select the 2024-2025 school year. If you have any questions please contact Lanni Hutson at 619-669-7708.

Hola padres/tutores de Oak Grove:
¡Tuvimos una gran semana en la escuela secundaria Oak Grove! Felicitaciones a nuestros estudiantes del mes de abril y mayo, son los siguientes;
- Estudiantes del mes de abril (foto a la izquierda) Violetta Lazareva (8°), Emmaly Báez (6°), Alan López (8°), Iván Guevarra (6°), Jesse Arias (6°), Estafano Ramírez Meléndez (7°), Jesús Manuel Durán Ángulo (7°)

Tenemos tres días más de clases y los estudiantes están muy emocionados de comenzar sus vacaciones de verano. La próxima semana celebraremos la promoción de nuestros estudiantes de 8vo grado. Se enviaron invitaciones a casa con los estudiantes, así como sus togas y birretes. La promoción será en el Water Conservation Garden en Rancho San Diego a las 5:00 p.m. El último día para los estudiantes de 8º grado es el 11 de junio y el último día para los estudiantes de 6º y 7º grado será el 12 de junio. El 12 de junio es día mínimo y la salida es a la 1:00 p.m.
Los Chromebooks y los artículos tecnológicos se devolverán a la escuela la próxima semana; recuerde a sus estudiantes que los traigan en las siguientes fechas;
- Los estudiantes de octavo grado entregarán sus artículos de tecnología (chromebooks, cargadores y estuches) el lunes (6/10) durante su clase de educación física.
- Los estudiantes de 6.º y 7.º grado también entregarán sus artículos tecnológicos el martes (11 de junio) durante su clase de educación física.
Por la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y nuestros vecinos de la comunidad, le pedimos que conduzca hasta el frente de la escuela para recoger a su estudiante. Además, asegúrese de seguir todas las señales de tráfico, como las señales de ALTO y los límites de velocidad en nuestra escuela. Se agradece mucho su cooperación.
Recordatorios;
- ¡Muy importante! Por favor inscriba a su estudiante para el año escolar 24-25. Inicie sesión en el sitio web del distrito para inscribir a su estudiante. https://www.jdusd.net/ luego haga clic en la pestaña Inscripción o inicie sesión en su cuenta ParentVue para completar el proceso de registro.
