Hello Oak Grove Parents/Guardians,
Students and staff enjoyed spirit week! To add to the fun, music was played during lunch this week and students got an extra dose of fun, and exercise, by dancing with their friends during lunch.
We want to congratulate our Students of the Month for April, they are; Valentina Serna (6th), Sophie Morales (8th), Miley Franklin (7th), Marley McBride (7th), Fabian Hernandez (8th) and Erick Pevatov (6th). (photo below)
8th Grade Parents;

Beauty and the Beast Performance
Remember to come to the Beauty and the Beast production—featuring some of our very own OGMS students! Show dates are May 8th, 9th, and 10th and will be at JES.
State Testing (CAASPP & CAST)
Annual state testing will take place over the next few weeks. Please ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep and arrives at school on time. These test results will not affect student grades, but they will be important for monitoring their academic progress. Parents will receive the test results in the fall.
- ELA CAASPP Testing – Week of May 12
- Math CAASPP Testing – Week of May 19
- CAST (8th Grade Only) – Week of May 27
OGMS Dance – Cowboy Hoedown
ASB is sponsoring our first OGMS dance on Friday, May 16, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Tickets are $5.00 (ticket fee includes pizza and drink) and go on sale starting Tuesday, May 6. All students are invited—please encourage your child to attend and join the fun!
Please note that the last day for our after school program will end on May 23rd. For the safety of all students, please pick your student right after school. Supervision is not available after 2:50 p.m. Safety is our priority!
Yearbook Orders
Yearbook orders have been submitted, If you did not place an order, a limited supply will be available for purchase, until supplies last.
Reminders:
- Please ensure that students bring a water bottle to school for refilling.
- Please review the OGMS dress code with your student as we approach warmer weather
