Hello Oak Grove Parents/Guardians,

This week all students took part in the nationwide “Kindness Challenge” students enjoyed several activities throughout the week that help promote acts of kindness.  They made friendship bracelets and flowers, hearts, posters and notes for others.  A cut-out heart with each student’s name and a positive message was posted around our campus.  In addition, teachers handed Kindness Tickets to students.   Students that received the Kindness Tickets will be  entered into a drawing to win a prize.  The winners will be announced on Monday, Feb. 3rd.   

Congratulations to our students that achieved Honor Roll, Eagle Excellence and Perfect Attendance.  Students received the parent invitation and permission slip for the 2nd quarter celebrations.  The assembly will be held on Thursday Feb. 6th and the Celebration will be held on Friday Feb. 7th.  Details for the assembly are included in the invitation that students received.  

8th grade parents, if you have not already registered your student for high school, please  remember to register before the deadlines. If your student is attending a high school other than the high school listed below, please send an email to [email protected] with the school they are attending, we want to make sure to forward all students records to the correct school.
Open Enrollment is still ongoing for both schools. 

Steele Canyon High School: You must complete the “Intent to Enroll” process before Feb. 19th, click on this link for more information; https://sites.google.com/schscougars.org/2025-2026-enrollment/home 
Valhalla High School:  You must enroll by the  Feb. 28th deadline.   Click on this link for Valhalla Register  for 2024-2025. Valhalla will be hosting their annual open house on Jan. 29th for all new incoming 9th grade students.  Click on the following link for details Valhalla Orange Nation

Reminders:

ASB is hosting the first annual talent show.  This week was the last week to turn in the permission slip to participate in the talent show.  More details about the talent show will be shared next week. 

Please remind your student to continue doing the following with their Chromebook:

Keep it in the protective cover
Keep it clean- no writing or stickers on them
Keep track of the charger and sleeve
Bring it to school charged or bring the charger to school

del 3 al 7 de febrero

Hola padres/tutores de Oak Grove:

Esta semana todos los estudiantes participaron en el “Desafío de bondad” a nivel nacional. Los estudiantes disfrutaron de varias actividades durante la semana que ayudan a promover actos de bondad.  Hicieron pulseras de la amistad y flores, corazones, cartas y notas para otros.  Se publicó en todo nuestro campus un corazón recortado con el nombre de cada estudiante y un mensaje positivo.  Además, los profesores entregaron Boletos de Bondad a los estudiantes.   Los estudiantes que recibieron los boletos de bondad participarán en un sorteo para ganar un premio.  Los ganadores se anunciarán el lunes 3 de febrero.   

Felicitaciones a nuestros estudiantes que lograron Cuadro de Honor, Excelencia Águila y Asistencia Perfecta.  Los estudiantes recibieron la invitación de los padres y el permiso para las celebraciones del segundo trimestre.  La asamblea se llevará a cabo el jueves 6 de febrero y la celebración se llevará a cabo el viernes 7 de febrero.  Los detalles de la asamblea están incluidos en la invitación que recibieron los estudiantes.  

Padres de 8vo grado, si aún no han registrado a su estudiante para la escuela preparatoria (high school), recuerden registrarse antes de las fechas límite. Si su estudiante asiste a una escuela secundaria distinta a la que se enumera a continuación, envíe un correo electrónico a [email protected] con la escuela a la que asisten, queremos asegurarnos de enviar todos los registros de los estudiantes a la escuela correcta.
La inscripción abierta aún está en curso para ambas escuelas.

Recordatorios:

Nuestro grupo estudiantil ASB es el anfitrión del primer show anual de talentos.  Esta semana fue la última para entregar el permiso para participar en el concurso de talentos.  La próxima semana se compartirán más detalles. 

Recuerde a su estudiante que continúe haciendo lo siguiente con su Chromebook:

Guárdelo en la funda protectora.
Manténgalo limpio, sin escritura ni pegatinas.
Mantenga el cargador y la funda
Tráelo a la escuela cargado o trae el cargador
