Oak Grove Cross Country Teams Shines at Bostonia Invitational on Oct. 15, 2025

In the sixth grade girls' race, Sonia Covarrubias stood out by not only improving her personal best but also securing a second-place finish. Her classmates, Zoe McAllister and Jeslin Ramos, ran strong races, reflecting the team’s supportive spirit.

Edgar Osuna highlighted the boys' sixth-grade race with a swift time of 7:41 over the 1.1-mile course. Six grader Gustavo Mayoral finished in 28th place. In the Boy’s Seventh Grade Race Carlos Ramos finished in seventh place with a strong time of 8:06. Eric Pevatov took the spotlight by dominating his race, finishing first with a stunning lead of over 40 seconds and a time of 6:51. He led from the starting line to the finish line.

The eighth-grade girls' and boys' races featured Oak Grove's largest group of competitors to date for the challenging 1.8-mile course. Notable performances came Leyla Zamora, Natalia Nunez, Chriselle Barela, and Amalia Mayoral, delivered impressive races, Alyna Sarabia and Victoria Cintora each participated in their first-ever cross country events and represented. Monseratt Osuna ran a solid race, placing in 10th.

In the boys' eighth grade race, Jesse Arias took third place, completing the course in 10:11. Yahir Coss followed closely, finishing sixth. Anthony Leon Rangel contributed to the team's success, bouncing back with a great race to claim 17th place, while Armando Covarrubias celebrated a personal record time of 14:20. As the team looks forward to the upcoming Hillsdale Invitational, they continue to embody the spirit of camaraderie and determination. EAGLES SOAR WITH PRIDE!
