Oak Grove Shines at Coaches Creek Invitational
Oak Grove Middle School's sixth and seventh-grade students showcased their athletic prowess at the recent Coaches Creek Invitational. The event, held on Saturday, saw impressive performances from the young athletes, with several students achieving personal bests and medal placements.
In the sixth-grade girls' category, Oak Grove's Isabella Diaz secured an impressive fourth-place finish. Monse Osuna Orozco followed closely behind, claiming second place, while Natalia Nunez medaled, and Chloe Christiansen ran a great race to celebrate her Birthday, and Amalia Mayoral, who had to run a half mile longer in the seventh-grade girls' race, all put in commendable efforts.
The sixth-grade boys were led by Jesse Arias, who secured a fourth-place finish. Dominic Romero also impressed with a medal. Armando Covarrubias, Anthony Rueben Leon Rangel, and David Hice ran personal bests.
The seventh-grade girls' team put on an amazing performance, with Sophia Hinojosa finishing in third place. Linnea Ramirez placed in her season’s best 7th, Tiffany Le and Hailey Vallejos secured medals, while Sophie Morales achieved a personal best.
The seventh-grade boys' team showcased their talent, with Caiden Christiansen taking first place. Fabian
Hernandez Garcia followed closely behind, securing a third-place finish. Gabriel Kohl also impressed with a personal best of 8th place. Hugh Tucker, Nash Axtell, and Noah Lozano all achieved personal bests, adding to the team's success.
The Coaches Creek Invitational marked the end of a competitive season for Oak Grove Middle School. However, the team is already looking ahead and preparing for future challenges, including a 5K race. Students interested in
